Now that you mention it, she could be an awesome Wonder Woman cause seriously, a live action Wonder Woman movie is WAY PAST DUE. I want to go to the DC Comics office and just shake the people in charge about it.
You know, I was a little bit disappointed at first when I heard Michael Shannon wasn't going to say "Kneel before Zod" in the movie, but once I saw it, I understood perfectly why. The reason that was such an enjoyable quote of Terrance Stamp's Zod is because his Zod was more focused on enslaving "planet Houston" and its inhabitants. Shannon's Zod has a primary focus of rebuilding Krypton by terraforming Earth atop the human race, caring not one iota for the planetary genocide he's committing, determined to restore glory to the very people he was bred to protect and serve. Shannon's Zod could care less for enslaving anyone, and is a much more relatable villain...
I agree. I was disappointed at first too, but after everything I accept it without doubt. Because what you wrote down here. I can't even think Zod as a real evil villain in MoS. I mean I can't blame him, because he want to save the legacy of Krypton. He born to that. In this situations i would choose the make babies solution instead, like in Battlestar Galactica...but then there will be no film, no megafights and stuff...so i'm okay with this totally. But in this picture i couldn't miss the opportunity
P.S.: English is my second language...and i still learn it by miself...so sorry if i raped the grammar etc
It's fine. ^^ And I can definitely agree on seeing him not so much as a villain, but in my opinion, he does hold qualities that seem very evil in nature, like his disregard for the genocide of the human race, and the willingness to kill Kal-El in order to extract the Kryptonian Codex from his genes. Those aspects I found very cold and dark...
Of course He isn't an innocent lamb , and does really evil things...and We clearly can see He has no problem with it. But I think this is because He and his army are like ...well robots. I mean they programmed that way...They didn't become soilders after highschool or university and because of some enemy attacked their homeland. I think the codex is not contain the morality and stuff for the soldiers...I think it's more simple than that. Like Spartans They probably prepared for the fight all of their life. And to do everything for Krypton..no matter what. Well the willingness to kill Kal-El because of this is totally okay for me. He denied his plans of course, and that Krypton, what Zod wanted to resurrect, needs the codex. So that was the only way for thet i think. After Kal-El destroyed the codex chamber (i don't remember how they called it) He became vengeful. Yes, He's cold and dark...but you know...for me in that sexy "it okay baby" way XD It's horrible.
Mhmm, quite well understood. ^^ I guess you could sum that all up in one of Faora's quotes: "The fact that you possess a sense of morality, and we do not, is an evolutionary advantage. And if history has proven anything... it is that evolution always wins."
